Kathy Gunst is the author of fourteen cookbooks. Her latest book is Notes from a Maine Kitchen (Down East Books, 2011). She has won two IACP award nominations for her books and two James Beard award nominations for her work as the "Resident Chef" for WBUR’s award-winning show, Here and Now, heard on over 170 public radio stations. She lives, writes and cooks from her home in southern Maine. She has written for Bon Appetit, the New York Times, Food & Wine, Yankee, Down East, Boston Globe, and more.
Jess Thomson is a Seattle-based freelance writer and cookbook author. Her work appears in publications like Sunset, Edible Seattle and Food & Wine magazines. Jess is the author of the food blog "hogwash," where she pairs food and life. Her latest cookbooks include, Pike Place Market Recipes: 130 Delicious Ways to Bring Home Seattle's Famous Market came out in May 2012 and Dishing Up Washington: 150 Recipes That Capture Authentic Regional Flavors was released in November 2012.
